My story...
I was born in the city of Uruapan, Michoacan. I studied Computer Systems Engineering at the Tecnologico de Monterrey in the city of Guadalajara, recently graduated I entered HP and worked there for 14 years. When I left the company I started an agricultural project of Berries in the Uruapan area, unfortunately due to the insecurity issue I emigrated with my family to the city of Mérida, Yucatan in February 2020. Looking for job opportunities I came across BALAM, a real estate company established 14 years ago and I decided to embark on this path as a real estate advisor. I am currently certified, always looking to constantly train myself.
With me as an advisor you will find professionalism, good communication, empathy and a certain amount of fun, as I have always believed that you can be professional but your search for a property to live in or as an investment does not have to be boring or tedious.
My experience moving to Merida and my advice for those looking to move
Moving to Merida, like any other city, is a challenge. We arrived without knowing ANYONE! Little by little, we got to know the city. We were there right at the beginning of the COVID pandemic, so it took us a little while to get to know the city. Thanks to the sport I practice, I was able to start meeting people and making personal connections, which led me to meet the director of the company where I work today.
If you are looking to move to Merida, I suggest the following (I can help you with the entire process):
If you are not sure about the area where you want to live, my suggestion would be to first rent a place to live for a while, so that you can get to know the city, the areas, supermarkets, schools, sports clubs, etc.
If you are already sure of the area where you want to live, then the next step would be to compare and analyze the best options and decide based on your decision criteria, which are various, such as location, type of private, delivery date, amenities, budgets, etc.
Join a club, whether it's a sports club, a cultural club, or a social club, so you can start meeting people. People are generally very friendly. Like everywhere, there's always someone struggling with life :)
Among people from outside we have managed to create social circles where we help each other since it is always necessary to know a good mechanic, electrician, pediatrician, etc. etc.
Regardless of whether I advise you on the topic of real estate, you can ALWAYS call me or send me a message and I will gladly support you on any other topic. The point is to help each other. I was in your place... and I would have liked some help.
